Enhance scrolling using mouse in the project explorer window (currently slow)

Status: Declined
Moved to CAR database: CAR 467495

Dear NI devs,

scrolling using the mouse in the Project Explorer window is slow. Each move of the mouse wheel equates one line in the project explorer, hence one subVI. Please increase the steps size or add an option to set the scrolling speed, please.

The behavior can be tested only when the list of subVIs in the Project Explorer is longer that the window size.

Cheers,

Is this new/changed in LV2013? In my LV2012SP1 installation it moves 3 lines per mouse wheel notch. It also seems to ignore the windows mouse properties, though.

One line per notch is really slow.

Update: behaviour checked in LV2013.02f

Not sure what "behavior checked" means, but I can confirm the incorrect one-line-per-detent behavior in 2013.  It's super annoying.

I contacted support after I noticed the same problems and it has now been given the following Corrective Action Request: 467495

Using LV2018 32 bit

Highly recommended open source screen capture software (useful for bug reports).

Yeah not gonna lie, this is annoying... It really should be the same as the windows mouse driver defines. I instinctively always use the mouse wheel in the project explorer, get mad, and switch to Page Up/Dn. However, this shouldn't be the case.
