Frame to group, comment and highlight parts of a blockdiagramm

Status: Duplicate

It would be useful to have a frame to group, comment and highlight parts of a blockdiagramm.

Comment and group.jpg

What is the idea ?

1) If a normally frame is used it don't changes the position when the items (VI's, wires, ...)

change the position.

2) A comment function e.g. "subdiagram label" woud be a help.

3) A grouping function, e.g. "case structure" can help to hold the frame and items together.

Sounds a little to me that you are searching for single frame sequence structures and display their "Subdiagram Label".

Please note that you ought to keep the sequence structure limited to a single frame!

That picture reminds me of my XBox, although I have no interest in grouping the objects.

The problem with the single sequence structure (besides ugliness) is that it adds dataflow restrictions that a decoration does not.

A better looking decoration would be nice, I am not so fond of adding another structure.  If you want grouping you should vote for this:

(BTW what is all of that whitespace?)

Thanks for your helpful comments, the solution " XBox and Hyperlinks"

should be included into LabView so fast a possible.

I will vote for the grouping idea.
