Improved Version of "Search Calling VI"

Status: Declined

Any idea that has not received any kudos within a year after posting will be automatically declined.

Current Status:

When i have a SubVI and need to know where this SubV is used i can use "Seach Callng VI" to find
other VIs within a project that are using my SubVI. I will get a list of calling VIs and i can only doubble click

into that list and the project explorer jumps to that VI. Thats it.

Suggestion:

When I doubble click into the list of calling VIs OPEN that VI instead of jumping to that VI in the project explorer.

When the calling VI is open give a second list where that SubVI is used and jumpt to that VI inside block diagram

then i click onto the first entry in that list.

It could be compared with a search of "local variable" within a VI. When I do that i get a list of entrys and i can click on

every entry and the block diagram jumps to the location where the local variable is used.

It would be nice to have the same with "Search Calling VI", jump to the position within a VI where that SubVI is used.
