The data type of the property node "scale range" of a slide
should match with the data type of this slide itself.
dito with a "meter", a "gauge" ...
Sounds logical...but there might be some intent to this feature.
Example:
This is a U8 slide for which I set the scale range to be [-50, 300].
That allows me to have the nifty effects shown above (absolutely useless to me, but maybe to someone else)?
For instance, create two sliders and you can do things like this:
