Hello,
I have a project that I consider from medium to large sized (about 1300 VI's) and I always have a big problem compiling it. I already tried decoupling it in several small projects but the process is too painful and once you begin to create subprojects your build process becomes unmanageable.
The LabVIEW project explorer needs to be more friendly when it comes to manage the dependencies, just take any simple IDE and you'll see that you specify for each project where do you want your dependencies to be loaded from. I frequently fall into infinite loops when I have to change the location of a directory that contains LV VI's because I have to reorganise my project.
This could be made easy if project explorer were able to manage more than one project. These projects could then have interdependencies and a batch build process managed by the project explorer.
Maybe some of you will find it useful too
Regards,
Luiz Carlos.
