Proper Smith Chart

Status: New

It seems like it shouldn't be too much to ask for a proper Smith chart (with markers and everything!).  Seems like it's already hiding somewhere...

I think that the picture control palette has VIs for creating one using the picture control (which is probably what the code in your image is). Did you try searching through the palettes or the examples?

I'm aware of the Smith Chart picture VI's.  They're fine for displaying a plot, but, unless I've completely overlooked something, there's no way to include markers as I mentioned.  Of course, it's possible to fake some markers as a second plot, but I want something that acts just like any other plot/chart where I can show/hide various plots, add markers, drag them around, etc.  I can't hardly believe that NI makes a network analyzer without having a real Smith Chart.

I've actualy built some code that can do this on the exisitng NI picture control. It's not simple to do but it can be done.

Hey, think of this as a great opportunity to build your own toolkit that fills-in what NI has left out! You can make it really awesome and them sell it on the LabVIEW Tools Network.

Their loss, your gain.
