Selection of BD objects (right click deselct wires)

On Right : After Selection the Wire at bottom is also selected, on another try, two wires on bottom are selected !!!

Right now the selection of wires is unpredictable.

Desired Feature : Reight click on the selection shows menu item ->

Wires -> Select All / Deselect All

The current behavior is quite predictable -- is the midway point of the wire segment included in the selection or not? That rubric makes it possible to select nodes without having to be careful to only circle exactly the node and no portion of the wire. The selection rules are:

• If object is a wire segment, if the selection rectangle encloses the midpoint of the wire segment, then select that wire segment.
• Else if the object is a a structure node or container control (i.e. cluster), if the selection rectangle completely encloses the object then select that object.
• Else for any other object, if the selection rectangle encloses any portion of any other object, then select that object.

Like most parts of LabVIEW, spelling out the detailed rules makes it look complicated, but the end result is a system that does what you intend the vast majority of the time.

Your picture actually doesn't show enough to have a cogent conversation about changing this. We need to know the entire lengths of the wires... are there bends along the wires you've shown? When you say that you want picking up the label to be equivalent to picking up the wire, do you mean the entire wire or just the segment? Or would it actually be better if the rule was that the wire label is selected if and only if the entire wire was selected? (I actually suspect that would be the better fix, if there is any fixing to be done at all.)
