polymorphic "read/ write" Locals, Globals

Hi all

This is my first hint in LV idea exchange: smileyvery-happy:

A freshly dropped local or global is by default in "write mode":

Switching it to "read mode" requires to go through the not-very-funny process: "right-click", "change to write", then you have :

My proposal is to create kinds of polymorphic feature, so that a newly dropped unconnected Local/Global would have both read/ write connector:

Of course, as soon as one side is connected, the opposite connector vanishes.

Disclaimer :

I know I'am exposing myself to locals-use-and-abuse bashing posting this idea Smiley Very Happy

So I probably need to ad "Abusing of locals or globals is bad for you health, can kill, or worse create totally unexpected behaviour in you application" Smiley Tongue

cheers !
