display speech loudness and speech rate

I need to develop a speech software using Labview.

I need to display the loudness of the speech in real time and calculate speech rate. The speech firstly will be recorded using microphone.

Can you help me because I'm new and not familiar with Labview.

Until now I only manage to acquire original speech signal only, I got from the Labview example " sound input to file" .

Really hope for your kindly feedback.
