Well, I never was able to get something like that to work on every computer so I went a different direction with it. I basically generated a random number and did some weird math to that random number and called it my "product code" and stored it in the registry. I did some further math to it for my activation code. The customer types in their "activation" code that would be given by our company to them and the program checks it. If it works...that activation code is stored in the registry and the program rechecks every time it is loaded.
It would be easy for someone to copy both sets from the registry and put it on their computer, but for the people who will be using this software, that is beyond their level of knowledge so it should work in my case.
