Core 1 NI assistant crashing when running thermocouple task

Hi,

I'm trying to do the Core 1 course. I'm following along with NI's online content which is some video's plus a few examples in a document, found in the course materials. In example 4-1, the documentation says to load the project "Explore Existing Project" and then to double click on the thermocouple task, as shown below:

When I do this I get an error message saying:

Exception: Access violation (0xC0000005) at EIP=0x0FADE392

Version: 22.3.0.49221

Any help would be gratefully received.

Try the following troubleshooting steps to resolve this error: 

• Confirm LabVIEW, toolkits and modules, and drivers were installed in the correct order
• Force reinstall recently updated or installed drivers to ensure corrupted files are overwritten
• Run the ResetNIConfig executable to remove database corruption
• Try to repair NI MAX using NI Package Manager
• Upgrade NI MAX by installing the latest version of NI System Configuration  
• Verify all your computer drivers are up to date in the Device Manager
• As a last resort, uninstall and reinstall all relevant software.
