DAQPAD-6016 support on new Win7 computer

Hello LabView experts,

I am supporting a research lab that is looking to continue use of a system that I setup for them years ago. The system uses a DAQPAD 6016 (which appears to be in good order). It is used to sample a physiological signal that is then analyzed by my LabView-based software.

The computer it was originally running on is on its last legs, so we want to port it over to a Windows 7 laptop that they have acquired. Though I saw a post noting that old legacy devices and NIDAQmx might not be supported on a new computer running Win7 (https://forums.ni.com/t5/Multifunction-DAQ/Win7-driver-for-DAQ-6016/td-p/1588824), I did note that this is from 2011, so things may have changed.

Am I right in deducing from the compatibility charts that...

1) NI-DAQmx ver 9.1.5 thru 9.9 will work with LabView 2010 (in which my program was compiled in) - http://www.ni.com/product-documentation/53326/en/

2) the DAQPAD -6016 will work with NIDAQmx 7.4 onwards (when you view all on... http://sine.ni.com/psp/app/doc/p/id/psp-230/lang/en )

3) Windows 7 scan run NIDAQmx 9.5.5 thru 15.5.1 (http://www.ni.com/product-documentation/53327/en/)

4) THEREFORE the sweet-spot is likely NIDAQmx 9.9 for this setup (Win7, LV2010SP1, DAQPad-6016).

Since the research lab is out of town, I wanted to see if I was looking at this issue properly and had a reasonable expectation of having everything work when I visit them. I'd rather not have to get into further development or buy new products as everything was working well besides the old computer.

Any thoughts would certainly be appreciated.

It looks like you've done a thorough analysis and I don't see any errors in it.

I think you've found a good combination of versions to work with.

One of these years, a QB you draft in the first round may last.
