Difference between "1 sample" and "continuous" in DAQ assistant setting, when I use usb 6211 as a DC power supply

Hello everyone,

I am new to labview.

I want to use USB 6211 as a DC power supply.

In DAQ assistant setting, I can choose "1 sample (on demand)" and " continuous with a while loop".

I found that USB 6211 would output voltage continuously in both case.

Is there any difference between them?

How much current do you think you need ??

You can ONLY draw max 2 mA from each channel. That is hardly a DC power supply.

The USB 6211 is only for signal generation and reading, not for power generation.

Sorry, not a power supply but only a control voltage generator.

I do not know how much current I need.

Actually, I want to you use α USB 6211 to generate a control voltage to a PMT module.

The voltage range should be 0.5-1.1 V, and the input impedance is 1MΩ.

Here is the specification of the PMT module.
