Event Programming with Digital I/O

Solved!
Go to solution

Can an Event Structure be used with digital I/O?  All of the examples I have seen show the Event Structure being used with the keyboard or mouse.  But have not found any examples showing the Event Structure being used with digital input.  Mainly I am looking for a link to an example. But any help you can provide will be appreciated.

Yes, you can register for some DAQmx Events.  Look in the Measurement I/O -> DAQmx Data Acquisition -> Advanced -> DAQmx Events palette to get started, or run a search for DAQmx Events.  Not all DAQmx devices support Change Detection events, which is most likely what you want if you're doing digital I/O, so check that it's supported by your device.
