Generate a single period signal with specifying sampling rate and the number of samples.

Hi,

I'm new to LavVIEW and is struggling with it. My task is to generate a single period sine wave. I really have no idea about that. Very lucky, I found a post related http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/how-can-i-generate-only-one-period-of-sine-wave/td-p/1177535. I tried the method mentioned by tbob (Message 6), and succeeded to get a single period wave. However, I don't have a clear understanding about how exactly the method works. Why specify the sampling info like that?  Could anyone help me?

Thanks in advance.

hello Monian,

Changing the constants will change the amount of points over the sine wave.

They have to be the same in order to have one cycle.
I recommend trying to "play"  with the different constants. This way you will find out yourself very fast.
