How can I tell if my DAQ scans all channels every time

I was wondering what the spec is in a DAQ data sheet that tells us whether or not the DAQ scans all channels every time you read an analog input channel? I'm trying to find this out for the field point AI-102 and the SCXI 1102, analog input modules.... do they scan all the channels or can they selectively scan just one channel?

Hi Monse,

FieldPoint modules will read every channel every time.  There is a scan engine in the background publishing this data.

The SCXI 1102, however, has a scan list built depending on the channels you specify to read in your task.  If you specify only one channel, the module will only read that channel.  The SCXI 1102 manual details the workings of this scan list in the Theory of Multiplexed Operation Section.
