How to average RPM values?

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello Everyone,

I need some help on how to average RPM values. The RPM I get is not constant and always fluctuating (let's say at a given RPM) between 500 and 600 RPM. I want to take these two values and average them like every second.

Please let me know if you can help me on this.

Below is a picture of how did I get the RPM.

Thanks,

A counter to read in a certain amount and then average it.

Try the mean pt by pt VI. Another option i have used is an IIR filter.

Hi,

The mean ptbypt vi is one of the best method to compute running average as suggest earlier by for(imstuck).

Also refer to this URL in case the VI is not available
