Interfacing LabVIEW with a bluetooth pressure sensor

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello,

I am using the NI PCIE-6343 to acquire data for my experiment. I would like to know if anyone has tried to interface a Bluetooth pressure sensor to acquire data through the communication port on LabVIEW. I am currently using a TE Connectivity U5600 sensor coupled with Laird Connectivity BT900-US. I have attached the interface manual in the post.

Thanks in advance!

As long as the Bluetooth adapter installs a virtual serial port when the device is paired with your computer the "Bluetooth part" becomes transparent.

Communicating with a device over Bluetooth using VISA is no different that communicating with a device connected to any other com port. (Serial port, USB-Serial adapter, etc)

Thanks. Do you have any material I can go through to see how to extract data from a COM port?

I highly recommend this video: VIWeek 2020/Proper way to communicate over serial
