Is possible to read encoder signal by using Digital Tacho

Dear All,

Iam using labview 8.6.1 and PCI 6250 NI card. For my application(Order tracking) iam using one encoder with 1000 ppr and one acclerometer. iam using analog tacho vi for getting speed profile in order tracking, that is working. Is possible to read digital tacho pulse to get speed profile in PCI 6250 card?. I tried and i failed. In Labview example program digital tacho vi used for only few cards. Can any one help to read digital tacho pulse to get speed profile in PCI6250 card.

How do you setup your DAQ Assistant.  You should be able to choose Aquire Signals»Counter Input»Frequency for that.

Can you post your code?

Check the LabVIEW example finder for "tacho"  There are four examples in there that may be helpful to you.
