JKI Unveils VI Package Manager™
VIPM Community Edition 1.0 Beta Now Available
JKI is very excited to announce the availability of VI Package Manager™ Community Edition 1.0 Beta for public testing and feedback, as part of its ongoing commitment to the LabVIEW community. This release follows a long period of extensive planning and development and results in, what we hope to be, one of the best LabVIEW software applications that the world has ever seen.
VI Package Manager (VIPM) is a cross-platform software application, written in LabVIEW, that provides seamless download and installation of VI Packages™, including the OpenG libraries, over the Internet for use in the LabVIEW development environment. VIPM is similar in capabilities to OpenG Commander, but is professional quality, with more features. VIPM will come in two versions: a Community Edition and an Enterprise Edition. The Community Edition will be available to everyone at no cost (free). The Enterprise Edition will provide additional capabilities along with JKI technical support and will be sold for a fee. Both versions will provide access to all OpenG software libraries in addition to a having a powerful set of features for VI Package management.
