LabView Compatibility with Windows 10

I am a college student working on a project that requires 2011-2012 LabVIEW software and I would like to know if it will be compatible with my Windows 10 software? If it is, would it be possible to get a download link?

The school provided a myDAQ and student version of LabVIEW/Multisim, but it only offered a CD software and my computer is not equipped with a CD drive. I can provide S/N if necessary. Thank you.

Check this link: http://www.ni.com/product-documentation/53409/en/. Basically LabVIEW 2011/2012 is not supported on Windows 10; you need at least LabVIEW 2015 or greater.

You could run a Windows 7 VM and install the software in that or find yourself an old PC running a supported OS.

You should also check that you are legally entitled to use the software in your use-case; assuming that you are then you can copy the CD contents to a USB disk or similar from another machine - the installers don't care what media they are run from - and then register using the serial number.

For Windows 10, you need LabVIEW 2015 or newer.  It MAY work with an older version of LabVIEW, but no guarantees.  Though LabVIEW 3-4 years older than 2015 makes me thing it won't.

As for CD's, that is the problem nowadays.  Rarely does a laptop come with CD drive.  You could try searching to see if you can download an older LabVIEW version from NI.  Or see if you can find someone who does have a CD drive and do a network share of that drive.

Find a desktop computer, put the CD in, and share it. Then connect to it over the local network. Maybe your teacher can put it on the local network.

There are also CD drives that connect to USB (example). Maybe somebody has one you can borrow?
