License checkout failure when getting to https servers using http client GET vi

Solved!
Go to solution
It seems that the "GET" vi from "HTTP Client VIs" Palette of "Protocols" don't work out for https urls on my notebook (windows 7 x64 service pack 1, LabVIEW 2010 x64 service pack 1). The strange point is that the same program works perfectly well on my desktop(windows 7 x32 service pack 1, LabVIEW 2010 x32 ). Can't dig out the reason over a-whole-day's investigation.

That does seem strange.  Two possibilities occur to me.  One is whether there are Firewall or other "access rules" on your Win 7-64 PC that are not present on the "working" machine.  Can you access the site using Windows Explorer (or other method) on both machines?  The other possibility is a glitch in LabVIEW 64-bit.  I'd venture to guess that the vast majority of current LabVIEW users are using a 64-bit OS (Windows 7, 8, 10 mostly), and also most are using 32-bit LabVIEW (which appears to be more robust).

Finally, I have to update the labview version to 2014 to get it done.
