MKS PR4000B reply equals command

Solved!

Dear friends of LabView,

i am trying to control 2 MFCs with a MKS PR4000 using the driver provided by MKS. Setting a setpoint works fine, however when i try to read out the actual flow i get the command as a response (?AV1<CR> -> ?AV1). Does anyone have an idea what is going on?

Regards,

Phillip

That should be in the manual, specifically in the communication chapter.

Some devices echo the command if it's incorrect (again, better check the spec). If a working command doesn't echo, that might be what's happening.

I'd have a look, but the manufacturer makes me register (*sigh*).

Here is the manual. In case of an error it is supposed to give an error code not echo the command as far as i see it.

Can you look in the driver VI?

Who made the driver? They should know...

Te Driver is from the 90s and very simple. When i send the command via 232analyzer i get the same result. So never mind its a device issue. Thanks for everyones help tho.

I would drop the question mark (AV1[cr] )but would use it as shown when asking value of setpt.
