Maximum cDAQ throughput

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi there,

If I have cDAQ 9179, full with 14 NI 9220 C Series Analog Input Module, would it be possible to acquire continuously the full 448 channels (32*14) at a sample rate of 100kS/s ?

If no, what are the limitations ?

Thx,

Start by calculating what that requires for throughput. Look at the maximum throughput for your transmission bus.  Are you over or under that?

Hi,

Thank you for the "A-B>x" answer...

I don't know what it requires, that's why I'm asking. 9220 is an analog input module, so it give double numbers.

I don't care of the throughtout of the USB3.0, what I want is to be sure the cDAQ itself coupled with DAQmx will do the job, with no exception.

Any NI application engineer here ?

Thx

448 channels 100,000 kSa/s 16 bits per point (2 Bytes per point)

448 x 100000 x 2 = 89.6 MBytes/sec

Can your system keep up wit that rate?
