NI-8452 I2C-Slave+DIO operation

Does anyone knows if is it possible to use the NI-8452 in I2C-Slave mode in combination with DIO functionality? I'm trying to drive one of DIO ports as I2C Bus interrupt but timing between DIO write and I2C-Slave operation is critical, so I'm facing issues when trying to setup I2C Slave to wait for an event while DIO it needs to release the Bus Interrupt to initiate communication.

Is there an answer to this question above? Im having similar application where the master needs a DO command to start the communication to 8452 slave

It throws up an error stating DO line write API cannot be used in Slave mode

Any solution much appreciated
