Print to file

I print the front panel of one of my subVIs to the default printer by setting "Properties"->"PrintOptions"->" _ Auto priint from panel".

If I want to send the same front panel to a new file on the computer so that it could be printed later in the event that the printer is not working how would I do that?

Here is my attempt. When I run it in my subVI to print to file, it is printed to the default printer rather than the file.

I also tried using "get panel image method" invoke node using sel vi as server class, but I read somewhere that I would run into problems with this approach when my application is converted to an .exe.

Try giving this a try.  I was able to print a front panel from a VI that I has saved on my desktop.
