hi, i am creating a program, but i am bolcked, because i need help,

all i want is that when i insert the ni6009 card, it depence of where i insert i have a different dev, can be dev 1

so can i make a vi where i catch in where i have insert the card and i cant take the name of what dev is??

This sort of dynamic remapping is what measurement and automation explorer is for. Check out MAX.

Hi, Alan,

you can use MAX to rename your DAQ cards as Mike says. Right click on your device under "Devices and Interfaces" and select "Rename". On the other hand, I think it would be more comfortable to read DAQmx card name programmatically in LabVIEW as described in the following KB:
