What could be the possible reason for a deployed application to run slow after the target pc comes out of standby mode?  PC running XP and using the USB to communicate with the DAQ and driver boards.  Application generated with 2010.

Is this a PC or a laptop? If it's a laptop: Is there a power supply or is it running with battery?

Furthermore: How do you define "slow"? What happens in your application?

hope this helps,

Norbert

On some PCs, USB 2.0 operation might be slow after coming out of Standby mode.  Do a search on 'USB standby slow'. Might need a driver update or perhaps change how your system sleeps.

Using a Dell laptop D910 with battery plugged into ac outlet.  Loop timing can be off between 300 - 500 ms.

With the setting in default mode does that mean its never stops running?

It probably is something along the lines of a resource taking time to start up. Try setting it manually to leave the USB device powered on instead of whatever the default is.
