Write Speed Drops When Use Codec VP9 NI Vision

Hello

I use VP9 Codec to store AVI file, but the write speed drops rapidly. What is the reason?

LabVIEW 2020 sp1

Vision 2020 sp1

Thanks.

Hi there. Can you attach the VI so I can review the block diagram?

Hello,

Here is the vi, also can find at the path below.

"\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2020\examples\Vision Acquisition\NI-IMAQdx\Stream to Disk\Stream to AVI Files.vi"

Thanks

Hello,

was also wondering about that. Tested it in LV2021 and 2022 both in 64 bit. The first 24 images are working like a charm, but then the frame time drops as seen in your screenshot.

Anyone got an idea whats going on there?

From the codec comparison example with 10 images, the VP9 seems to be the best codec in regards to file size and write time, but at this state its basically unusable for streaming images to an avi file 😅
