can labview recieve text from a cell phone

I was just wondering if anyone knew if there is a way for LabVIEW to recieve a command as a text message from a cell phone... or if not, if there was a way for LabVIEW to recieve a command from an email?

The text message from the cell phone could be sent to an email address that is being monitored by LabVIEW.

Yes, LabVIEW can receive email messages.

There should be many threads on the subject.  Try searching "Labview emails".

For instance, you could use ActiveX with Labview to monitor emails within Outlook or some other email applications that support ActiveX.

Cellphone messages are send to phone numbers, so my guess is that the only
way to get those on a PC is to use a modem. Look at the AT commands...
