dynamic VIs when creating DLLs

Hi,

when i created DLL in LabVIEW 6i, there are Add exported VIs and Add dynamic VIs. What is dynamic VI? What the difference between exported VIs and dynamic VIs?

I don't have 6.0 anymore - it's absolutely ancient but isn't there a 'Help' button on the Source Files tab?

Exported VIs are those VIs that you want to have the ability to call. The exported VIs will become the available functions.

Dynamic VIs are those that you might dynamically call in your LabVIEW program with VI Server. Since they are dynamically called, the app builder needs the names so that the code from them can be included in the build.
