Im a student and I need some help with my project. Im trying to generate a PID output that will control a fan used in a cooling system. Everything works okay accept for the fact that when the set point is below the PV (current temp) the output from the PID does not turn on the fan. The output only ever comes on from the PID.vi when the setpoint is below the PV(current temp). Obviously this scenerio is not what Im looking for as Im trying to raise the temp in this instance and the fan is running at 100% cooling the PV even more.
Basically my PID is generating an output to control a heating system however my project is a cooling system. Im looking for the opposite to occur. What do I need to do get the PID to reverse its outputs to reflect a cooling system. Im running a pwm.vi to drive the fan from the output of the PID.vi.
Any solutions or help would be greatly appreciated
