I need to some HIL tests, but have no such machine , especially the RT system.
I wonder ,if it is possible to make a desktop PC to be a RT system with multi-core CPU just by NI's soft. and then ,I just need to buy some software and cards from NI , and can quickly start my test.

What operating system will the PC be running? If you are relying on Windows, then it is impossible for it to be a RT system.

NI has a Tutorial called Converting a Desktop PC to a LabVIEW Real-Time Target. Read it, find yourself a spare PC, and go for it. Indeed, NI's PXI Real-Time systems can contain Intel CPUs that are capable of running either Windows (in which case they are not an RT Target) or a Real-Time OS (in which case, they are an RT Target).
