It is interesting to know that the "SMTP Client.vi" program in LabView works!
I noticed that the difference between the "Sendmail.cws" in CVI vs. the "SMTP Client.vi" program in LabView is that the "SMTP Client.vi" program in LabView has the optional fields:
1) Username
2) Password
and 3) Port number.
In speaking with an NI application engineer, it seems that the "Sendmail.cws" in CVI might have defaulted to Port #25. However both Yahoo and Google SMTP accept Port 465 or 587.
I read from Google that port #25 is not recommended because it is not encrypted.
At this moment, I am looking for a 3rd party CVI solution provider to see if they can take the "Sendmail.cws" in CVI to include the username, password, and port number fields.
