As many may have been reading, there's been some sort of a "magic patch" that was added to the mainline kernels (2.6.37+) that dramatically lowers latency of the Linux desktop. There has also been another development and thats the removal of the Big Lock (ioctl). Seems like NI-KAL has some dependencies on ioctl and it doesn't compile against the newer kernels. Do we forsee an updated NI-KAL for the newer kernels?
