PXI module discovery on openSUSE 12.2

Hi Forum,

I am new to working with NI-VISA 5.4.0 on openSUSE 12.2. I am having difficulty seeing all the attached PXI modules when using visaconf or NIvisaic or my own code using the NI VISA API.

Here is my hardware configuration:

- openSUSE 12.2 is running on PXI-8196 module

- PXI-6722

- PXI-4060

- PXI-2585

- PXI-6509

Unfortunately, when I run NIvisaic with Machine: "localhost", I only see the following Devices:

- Unknown

-- ASRL8::INSTR

-- ASRL7::INSTR

-- ASRL6::INSTR

-- ASRL5::INSTR

-- ASRL4::INSTR

-- ASRL3::INSTR

-- ASRL2::INSTR

-- ASRL1::INSTR

- PXI Miscellaneous Resources

-- PXI0::MEMACC

This is the same I see using the API function calls in my own code.

Is there some tools or documentation to be used to configure all my PXI modules and make them visible?

I resolved it by uninstalling and reinstalling the NI DAQmx version 8.0.2. Now I have accessible to me several PXI devices that are installed on this system.
