Web Services in LV for Linux

Hello,

A customer of mine wants to integrate my instrument into their LIM system and communicate with the instrument through web services. I understand that neither LV 2009 nor LV 2010 support web services on Linux. Does anyone know if it is possible to implement them on Linux without going too far away from LabVIEW?

If not, they would probably be OK with some kind of simulating the services - they want to enter an HTTP url with some parameters and in response receive an XML string. Any advice on this approach?
