hello to all,
I'm trying to deploy my small aplication to one computer where I have labview runtime 2012 and visa 5.3 installed. But when I run it returns a message:
"this is the application template and cannot be run alone"
This application works in a virtual box machine with the same installation.
I tried on centos 12.2 and centos 6.5. And the message is the same. Can anyone give me some help?
Best regards,
Jorge Amaral

Have you made sure to include a top level VI in the build settings?

How was the application transferred to the other machines? Were any utilities run against it? I know there are some utilities that when run will say that the binary is not of the correct size because of the format of how a built LabVIEW application is contructed. I'm assuming that when launched it loads up a dialog that asks you for a VI?

Hello Rolf and Randy! Thanks for the help.
Rolf:
I'm completly sure that I've included the Top level VI. What I know now is:
1. If I build an executable with a simple application (while loop) runs ok
2. The complete app works on both virtual machines (with labview developing; with only labview runtime and visa runtime)
Randy:
I build the application on my linux virtual machine. Send it to my USB disk. And I do the same from the USB to the client computer.

Are the VMs and the physical machines identical? Do they have different SELinux settings?
