Hey there,
I'm currently using a Firefly MV USB and Labview 8.5. I've installed http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/5030 - the NI-IMAQ for USB as well as Point Grey's Flycap 2. My camera is working fine with the flycap software but labview will not detect it. When I tried the vision assistant 8.0, the USB acquire image part is greyed out and I can't select it at all. Please assist. Thanks.

1. You already install all required softwares mention in USB-IMAQ download page?
2. Have you check with Pointgrey whether its camera support DirectShow? If not, you need to ask them how to use it with LabVIEW.
3. You probably try new LabVIEW, http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/2121/lang/en, and its new Vision Acquisition Software, http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/2137/lang/en. It has built-in USB camera support.

Hi KateB,
1. Yes I do have all the software requirements.
2. Yes my camera does support DirectShow.
3. Unfortuntately at this time my uni is unable to provide me with the latest LabView and Vision Acquisition software.

1. I saw someone mentioned that not all PointGrey driver support DirectShow. Please confirm with PointGrey which version you could use.
2. Even your university doesn't provide it, but you can download it for evaluation from the link I gave.
