Vision Builder to Visual Basic Communication

We are considering using vision builder to perform measurements with a firewire camera. We are presently doing our motion control with a Visual Basic app. I'd like to integrate the vision builder inpection (numerical values at a minimum, pictures would be great) into the VB app. Is there an Active X control or the like that can do this for me? Do I need to purchase more than just Vision Builder and the 1394 add on?

Thanks!

Hello Dave,

Unfortunately, there is not currently any way to convert a script from Vision Builder for Automated Inspection (VBAI) into Visual Basic code. The only migration that is provided for VBAI is to LabVIEW. VBAI also does not currently have any ActiveX controls that could be used to execute a script from VB.

Hi Dave,

Vision Builder AI 2.6 that recently released, features an ActiveX control that you can use to control Vision Builder AI from Visual Basic.
