stepping motor wire

Hi

I'm using PXI 7350 stepper motion controller that connected to two UMI 7774 and 6 P70360 Drivers connected to NEMA 23 stepper motor. I connected the motor with short cable to the drivers and the motor working well with LV and MAX.

When I connected the motor with 30 [m] cable to the drivers they didn't function properly, for example when I start to move one motor, it start moving also the motor near him. when I stop the motor it didn't stop, or it stop and move very slowly in nonhomogeneous way. 

I think it is clear that the problem is the long cable ? 

Do I need to used twisted pair cable? and what kind?

Hi Amitai,

National Instruments offer cabling up to 4 meters. If you would like to go anything further than that, you might want to look into some custom cables that can conserve the characteristics and integrity of the signals. You might want to search for a distance caballing solution.
