Keeping system time during RAD install

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knew which files i need to blacklist to keep system time/date whne performing a RAD (http://www.ni.com/example/30986/en/) install?

Or just in general where system time is kept.

Thanks

Hi Mrmas,

Which controller are you using? Most cRIO controllers have an RTC that holds the time for the system (which should not be affected by a RAD install, although I am less familiar with how RAD works)

Hi,

I am using a sbRIO 9627. I have seen the time turned back weeks/months when installing disc images via RAD. They seem to go back to the same point, though not specifically linked to when the disc image was created. I figured mabye the complete disc image covered the system files which keep the time.

It seems that the sbRIO 9627 has an RTC, so I'm not quite sure why you're seeing the behavior that you are. Just as a sanity check, you're seeing the time being set back (but not too far back, e.g. 1970 or near the UNIX epoch), is that right?
