Deployment Path confusion

Hi,

Can I deploy a .Net-binary used by my sequence into indepentent directory from my Workspace, Project and Sequence File? I mean without adding the search path for the binary after the first start.

I used the Deploment Utility and tried combinations like:

"TestStand Public Documents" as destination for TestStand files.

"Installation Directory" as destination for .Net binary.

After deployment the sequence wont´t find the executable.

I think the separate documents, scripts and executables makes sense as it is common with Windows 7. But with the currents Deployment Tool I end up putting everything in on folder. Otherwise it won´t work on the target.

Probably my question is:

How can I delopy search paths?

Or more precise

How can I add my Install path as search path to my current Sequence/Project/Workspace?

Hi jojp,,

the search directories are stored in teh TestExec.ini file.

How do I Include My Station Globals, Search Directories, Tools Menu, etc. in My Deployment When Using the TestStand Deployment Utility?
