Compatibility of PXIe-1073 (781162-01) with PCIe-8361 for desktop PC.

Dear all,

I have purchased a PXIe-1073 (781162-01) for laptop versions. I do have a MXI cable which came with the PXI model to interface the ExpressCard to Laptop. Now, I want to interface it with desktop PCs. Can i use PCIe-8361 to interface PXI with PC. Kindly guide me to the compatibility of above solution and suggest any other possible solutions, if available. Thanks

Hi Wasif,

To switch from the PXIe 8360-ExpressCard setup for laptops to a PC interface you definitely can use the PCIe-8361. Basically, as long as both ends of the connection are X1 MXI-Express then you should be fine. Also, you can use the same cable you are using with the ExpressCard.
