Challenge: Developing a test rig that determines loading force and frequency according to engine and connecting rod parameters; controls the hydraulic system according to the predefined load force and frequency; monitors test status in real time; captures connecting rod failures; and acquires, stores, and analyzes data.

Solution: Using NI CompactRIO hardware and NI LabVIEW system design software to develop a reliable engine connecting rod tensile and compressive fatigue test rig.
