In Multisim you will find the IGBTs if you open the component browser (Ctrl-W) and go to the Master Database, Transistors group, IGBT family. There are about 103 currently in the product. We are currently looking to expand this area and would like to see if you can answer the following questions:
- Are you working with discrete IGBTs (e.g TO-220 packages) or modules (e.g Semikron SKM200GB12V)?
What manufacturers do you typically work with?
What larger circuit are you simulating?
What "critical" parameters would you like to be able to vary?
What predictive powers would you like the IGBT to possess?
If you find one that you like in the Master DB, you can copy the part into your User or Corporate databases, and then you can edit the model from there, changing the parameters that you'd like.
If you find models of IGBTs not included in Multisim, you can use the Component Wizard to create the part.
