Watch NIWeek Keynote Live 8:30 AM CST: Subaru to Address Power Electronics HIL

Watch the NIWeek Keynotes Live beginning in 5 minutes at 8:30 AM CST (GMT -6). Subaru will explain how advances in power electronics HIL simulation using LabVIEW FPGA tools broke a speed barrier for the first time. Enabling real-time speed for the electric motor and drive simulation enabled them to bring their first hybrid electric vehicle to market with a high level of confidence in the quality and reliability of the control system (compared to dyno testing) while simultaneously reducing their test cost by 20X (video, case study).

New products demonstrated today include the new ultra-high performance CompactRIO controllers featuring the most powerful FPGAs yet (600 Integrated DSP Cores!) and the new, lowest cost deeply embedded NI System on a Module (SOM) featuring a Zynq-7020 FPGA with 220 DSP cores, dual 667 MHz ARM Cortex-A9 processors running RT Linux, and generous FPGA programmable logic resources.
