I have a few small 5Vdc sensors (>50mA) that I was planning on powering from the 5Vdc on the Host USB port. I am running into an issue with USB-C cables.
When I plug a USB-C cable into the Host port, there is no 5V on the red (+) and black (-) wires. I even cut the USB-A male end off the USB-C to USB-A adapter cable provided with the cRIO 9053. There is no 5V on the red (+) and black (-) wires. I also have a Best Buy USB-C to USB-A female adapter. When I plug the adapter into the Host port and any USB-A cable into the adapter, there is 5V on the USB-A red (+) and black (-) wires.
Is there anything special about the Host port that explains why I am not seeing 5V on the various USB-C cables.
