9870 scan engine on 9144

Hi all, I installed LV 2010 SP1 which has RT 10.0.1 and Serial 3.7 with 987x Scan Engine support and VISA 5.0.3. Basically, all the required components needed for 987x to run in scan engine mode are installed. I'm able to get it to work on the controller itself; 9074 or 9012. However if i connect have a 9870 on 9144 connected to 9074 via etherCAT, i'm not able to add 9870 in scan mode.

Hi,

You don't have a controller on the 9144 - therefore you can only communicate via user-defined variables - we have the same problem - the only solution is to make a fpga code on the 9144 which communicates with the 987x modules.
