"Extract Single Tone Information.NI" Crashes RT Controller?

When using the "Extract Single Tone Information.VI," the controller slowly increases its RAM usage and crashes.  The plot of the Distributed System Manager seems to suggest this is not RT compatible / has a runaway array or something (plateaus for a few seconds, the increases, then plateuas, then increases, etc until it maxes the controller, both 9004 and 9014).

Is this VI RT compatible out of the box?  Any ideas why this is happening?

Hi Codewheel,

I ran the LabVIEW shipping example "Basic Single Tone Measurements.vi" (a shipping example that uses the "Extract Single Tone Information.vi" ), and I noted no continual increases in RAM usage.

I ran this example on a cFP-2220 controller as well as a cRIO-9014 controller.

How long did you have to wait to see the RAM increase?  Are you able to use the same shipping example in order to replicate the RAM behavior?

As Kevin says, since we can not reproduce the memory leakage issue you reoported with LV shipping example VI, would you please post a simple VI that can reproduce the memory leakage problem?
